The Police in Imo State have said that former Governor Rochas Okorocha may be charged to court.
The command said if found culpable of breach of the peace, he may face trial.
This was after the Senator representing Imo West was released after being detained at the police command on Sunday.
Spokesman of the Imo Command, Orlando Ikeokwu said Okorocha was arrested and questioned over his visit to a sealed property which the Imo State government had taken over.
There were gunshots at the premises of the estate on Sunday afternoon after Okorocha led some of his supporters to the sealed premises and made to unseal it.
He was met with resistance by men of the Imo State Task Force during which one of his aides was wounded.
There were altercations between Okorocha and an aide of Governor Hope Uzodima.
Both Uzodinma and Okorocha are known to be sworn enemies even as they belong to the All Progressive Congress.
