By Oluwatomisin Amokeoja

The Senate President, Dr. Ahmad Lawan has asserted that once protesters' demands are met, it is patriotic for them to go home and give the government time for appropriate implementation.

Lawan made the assertion on Thursday morning at the new Legislative Day in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

During the session, the Senate Leader arose to inform the Senate on the feedback of the dialogue with #EndSARS protesters who laid siege at the entrance to the National Assembly on Wednesday October 14th.

Lawan said: "SARS have been disbanded. I believe that once protesters' demands are met, I think it is patriotic for them to go home and give the government time for appropriate implementation...

"I will ask the government including the National Assembly, that we should push to ensure that the demands of the protesters are implemented as soon as possible."
