Ondo State Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, has finally picked former National Assembly Deputy Clerk, Olaide Adelami, as the Deputy Governor of the state.
Adelami, who retired as the Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly in April 2018, is set to fill the vacant seat of Ondo state’s Deputy Governor as his name has been sent to the state’s House of Assembly for confirmation.
According to Sahara Reporters, a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Wednesday said Adelami’s nomination “would be announced by the House of Assembly later today (Wednesday)”.
Interestingly, the former Legislature hails from Owo- the hometown of late Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Adelami was also one of the governorship aspirants who contested against the late governor at the 2020 APC Primary election.
