The All Progressives Congress (APC) Delegate Congress Appeal Committee for the party’s delegate congress ahead of the 2026 Osun gubernatorial election has called for the submission of petitions or complaints about the exercise which was conducted in all the 332 wards in the state yesterday.
This was made known in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Osun APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi.
According to the statement, the five -man Appeal Committee led by Hon Kani Faggo Abubakar, former House of Representatives member from Bauchi State, stated that his committee is in Osun State to supervise and monitor the conduct of the ward delegate congress.
Abubakar stated this at the APC State Secretariat, in Osogbo, the state capital, venue of their sitting.
As quoted by Bisi, the committee chairman disclosed that they have been around since Monday to exercise their duties.
He appealed to the aggrieved members to file their complaints and petitions before the committee.
“We are in Osun State as an appeal committee to supervise and monitor the conduct of the delegate congress in the state.
“We have been around in the state since Monday to execute our duties in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Constitution of our party and the Electoral Guidelines.
“The work of our committee starts from 8:00am today and closes at 6:00pm to receive petitions and grievances from the members of our party if any.
“We are appealing to those having complaints or petitions about the delegate congress to come forward.
“We are yet to receive any petition or complaint since we resumed and we won’t leave our duty post until 6:00pm which is the deadline for the submission of any petitions”, Abubakar said.
The members of the committee were reportedly welcomed by the State Treasurer of the APC, Hon. Femi Kujembola.
While receiving the committee on behalf of Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, the state party chairman. Kujembola disclosed that the congress was conducted without hitches in Ijesaland on Tuesday.
Other members of the Appeal Committee iclude Mr. Lawrence Shalbuet, Secretary; Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, member; Comrade Danesi Momoh, member and Mr. Humphrey Izam, member.
