Nigerian Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has broken silence over the ongoing crisis in Osun as he called out the state’s Police Commissioner, Mohammed Abba.
NPO reported that the state, governed by the musician’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, plunged into a full-fledged chaos on Monday as the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) supporters clashed with the All Progressive Congress (APC) followers over court ruling on the local government leadership.
While gunshots were heard at some parts of the state, two former local chairmen have been reportedly killed.
Reacting in a post on his X handle, Davido charged the state Police Commissioner to respect the rule of law.
“Mr commissioner respect the rule of law!!! You are not madder or crazier than us !! Make we all kuku mad !! MEN MOUNT WALAI TO KRF!!! I will post u everyday everywhere Mr man !!! Try me fucker” Davido wrote.
Recall that NPO reported the impending violence in the state following last week’s Court of Appeal ruling in Ondo which reinstated the sacked APC LG chairmen and councilors.
In reaction, the PDP denied the ruling as peddled by the APC.
PDP held that the November 2022 ruling which sacked the LG chairmen and councilors remains valid.
