Osun State lawmaker, Oluwole Oke, has ruled out the possible re-election of the state governor, Ademola Adeleke.
Oke hinted that Adeleke might not contest in the forthcoming 2026 Osun Election as he claimed that the governor is likely to be disqualified from the race.
The lawmaker, representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, made this known in a post shared on his Facebook page on Thursday.
He held that Adeleke’s former party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as well as his new party, Accord, may not have their candidates on the ballot despite the governor’s emergence as Accord candidate earlier this week.
“There is nothing happening that I have not predicted.
“PDP will not get 500 votes in Esa Oke. PDP will not get 1,500 Votes in Oriade South LCDA .
“PDP many. not even have a candidate on the ballot neither would ACCORD as it’s looking.
“Electoral Act is very special and distinct. No hiding place.” He wrote.
Oke congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebanji, who he described as the awaiting governor of the state.
While commending Adeleke for his effort, the Osun lawmaker lauded the effort of his predecessor, Gboyega Oyetola, for ensuring the emergence of Oyebanji as the APC candidate to dethrone Adeleke.
“Congratulations to HE Alh Muyideen Bola Oyebanji . The awaiting Governor of Osun State come August 8th 2026. It’s the Lord’s doing .
There is nothing to fight or quarrel about.
“The outgoing Governor my Brother HE Sen Ademola Adeleke has tried his best and we have seen what it is .
“May the Lord continue to bless all of us . Happy Xmas in advance.
“Thanks to our Leader Asiwaju Gboyega Oyetola for seeing us through.” He added.
