Oyinlola, Ex-Defence Minister, Others Oppose Adeleke; Back Dotun Babayemi
The division in the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State widened further on Tuesday with the decision by former Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola and his former deputy Erelu Olsola Obada, to back a governorship aspirant, Mr. Dotun Babayemi.
Apart from Oyinlola and Obada, other chieftains of the PDP in Osun who are holding a separate delegate congress today include former National Vice Chairman of the PDP, Chief Shuaib Oyedokun and a former Senator, Olu Alabi.
While a congress is holding at the Osogbo Township stadium where supporters of Senator Ademola Adeleke are gathered, those opposed to him are gathered at the Women Development Centre awaiting the commencement of voting.
Other aspirants such as former Secretary to the State Government, Fatai Akinbade, a nephew Senate Adeleke, Deji Adeleke, an insurance magnate, Chief Akin Ogunbiyi had stepped down for Babayemi.
All of them are opposed to the candidature of Senator Ademola Adeleke.
