Oba Ladoja was also reported to have earlier held a closed-door meeting with the kingmakers on Tuesday at his private residence on Ondo Street, Old Bodija, in Ibadan North Local Government Area.
The meeting, which lasted nearly two hours and marked his first official engagement with the council since the passing of his predecessor, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
NPO Reported the passing of the Oba Owolabi who died last month at the age of 90.
The late monrach who celebrated his 90th birthday just two days earlier on July 5, ascended the throne on July 12, 2024, following his coronation by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
He served as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
His demise paved way for the emergence of Ladoja as the new Olubadan, a position the ex-governor had long anticipated for.
