The student community around Kwara State Polytechnic in Offa were on Wednesday thrown into a state of panic as officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) allegedly stormed the academic institution.
Video shared on X showed students around the campus running following the arrival of the EFCC operatives.
They were alleged to have barged into the hostel of some students destroying their doors to gain access.
Another video clip showed an armed EFCC officials running towards one of the students’ hostels.
The reason behind the raid is however yet to be ascertained as no official statement has been issued by the EFCC to confirm the presence of its officials at the school.
Efforts by NPO Reports to seek confirmation of the incident from the EFCC proved abortive as the commission’s telephone contacts were unreachable.
