Popular Nigerian clergyman, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has spoken out over the alleged gun-wielding incident involving him and a car spotter.
NPO Reported that the Senior Pastor of the House of the Rock Church and convener of the annual Experience concert had raised eyebrow following a viral video of him chastising the content creator who spotted his car.
Rolling down his car window, Adefarasin inaudibly challenged the car spot who apologized while capturing what appeared to be a gun in the clergyman’s hand as he drove off.
Reacting to the incident in a post on his X handle on Sunday, Adefarasin clarified that the object was not a firearm as purported.
He however promised to explain what ensued between him and the content creator during the church service by 9am.
“Dear Family, Trusting that this meets you well, winning and on top of the tests of life.
“You might be aware of a video which has been circulating on social media showing me in what some have misunderstood as brandishing a firearm. I want to assure you of this — that, that was certainly not a firearm, and at no point did I point such at anyone.
“We understand the concern that this accusation may have caused, and we will speak briefly to this mischief during the 9:00 am service tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and understanding.” Adefarasin wrote.
