The immediate past National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has dumped the party amid its ongoing leadership crises.
Ologbondiyan announced the withdrawal of his membership from the party in a letter dated 5th of December and submitted to his Ward Chairman in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
While expressing his gratitude to the leadership of the party for the opportunities given to him, the ex-PDP spokesperson announced his exit from the party.
He however held that his membership withdrawal was borne out of personal reasons.
The statement read; “Let me start by thanking you as well as other levels of leadership in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the opportunities provided for me to serve the party as well as our fatherland, Nigeria.
“It is now imperative to bring your attention to the fact that I have reviewed my participation in the PDP and came to the conclusion that for personal reasons, I need to make my exit.
“I have therefore come to a decision to formally withdraw my membership of the PDP, henceforth.
“Thank you, and God bless you.”
