In what can be described as giving back to his community, a philanthropist and indigene of Eruwa local government area of Oyo state, Prince Adebayo Olabiyi, has on Friday donated medical equipment worth millions of naira to Eruwa General Hospital in memory of his father prince James Olabiyi.
The management of the general hospital had, in the presence of prominent dignitaries, received Adebayo’s donation which include Dialysis Machines, Dialysis chair, Defribillators, Digitaliser, Storage packs, Urine disposers, Wheel Chairs, Irrigation Tube packs, Ventilators, Drapes, and Surgical tools.
Others are Laparoscopic set, Delivery packs, Mammogram, C-arm, Trolley, Ambulance, Oxygen cylinders.
Commending Adebayo’s gesture, the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Eruwa Local Government, Kazeem Arogundade urged other indigenes of the community to emulate the philanthropist.
The chairman stressed that the present administration led by the Governor, Seyi Makinde would continue to provide dividend of democracy to good people of the Oyo State in which good healthcare delivery was one of it.
Meanwhile, the Chairman, Oyo State Hospital Management Board, Chief Akin Fagbemi encouraged the management of the hospital to make judicious use of the materials as he presented the ambulance vehicle key to the management.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen shortly after the ceremony, the Chairman Eruwa Elders Council, Chief Seun Peluola lauded, Prince Adebayo Olabiyi for the donation of hospital materials worth millions of naira to Eruwa General Hospital.
He used the medium to charge sons and daughters of Eruwa both at home and in the diaspora to take a cue from prince Adebayo Olabiyi.
