The Nigeria Police Force has arraigned Tracey Ohiri, the woman who called out the Minister of Works, Sen. Dave Umahi, over alleged N250 million debt.
Ohiri was reportedly arraigned before the Magistrate Court in Wuse 6, Abuja, on Thursday hours after her confrontation with Umahi at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command surfaced online.
NPO Reported that woman had yesterday charged at Umahi at the police conference room where she was scheduled to meet with the Minister.
Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, who recorded the video, would further challenge Umahi over his arrest and detention of Ohiri.
Sowore accused Umahi of using the police to settle personal scores- an allegation the minister refuted in a statement issued on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the video of the confrontation appeared to have prompted the police decision to arraign the businesswoman who appeared before the Magistrate today.
Video recorded from the courtroom showed Ohiri reiterating her demand for her money while recounting her ordeal in detention.
She revealed how she had supplied campaign materials to Umahi only for the former Ebonyi Governor to withhold the payment over her rejection of his sexual advances.
“David Umahi, I’m not afraid of you. You must pay me my money. You can lie all you want. David you must payy me money. I supplied goods directly to you. You woke me up 5am in the morning and asked me.
“I brought it to your house in Abaliki. You know me very well. Just because you asked to date me and I said no, you turned it upside down. Sir, you will give me my money.
“They said you are Honourable Minister. David Umahi, there is nothing honourable about you. And you are using police to oppress me.” She said.
