The Presidency has allayed concern over President Bola Tinubu following his stumble during a reception parade in Turkiye.
NPO Reported that Tinubu had on Tuesday stumbled while being received by the Turkish President, Recep Erdogan, at the Presidential Palace.
Videos shared on X captured moment the Nigerian President lost his balance while approaching the stairs towards the Palace.
While he was quickly assisted back to his feet by Turkish officials nearby, the clip had since sparked mixed reactions from Nigerians.
Reacting to the development in a post on his X handle, the Special Assistant to the President, Dada Olusegun, maintained that the Tinubu only missed his step briefly and has since continued his planned activities for the state visit to Turkiye.
NPO Reported that the President had on Monday morning departed Abuja for the European country for a state visit.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s visit is aimed at strengthening the cordial relations between Nigeria and Türkiye and exploring further areas of cooperation for mutual benefit.
