Prominent Lagos monarch, the Akran of Badagry, De Wheno Aholu Menu-Toyi, has reportedly pass away at the age of 89.
Menu-Toyi’s demise was announced in a post shared on X on Monday.
According to the post, the renowned traditional ruler of the Badagry Kingdom died after a brief illness.
His death reportedly marks the end of a remarkable 48-year reign, making him one of the longest-serving traditional rulers in Lagos State.
While the stat government is yet to officially announce his death, a palace source disclosed that medical experts pronounced him dead with traditional burial rites now ongoing.
