Ondo state residents has, on Wednesday, taken to the streets in protest over high level of insecurity and incessant killing by Fulani herdsmen.
The protesters had mobilized following report of armed herdsmen invasion of Aba Oyinbo, Akure North Local Government Area of the state, in the early hours of Wednesday, killing no fewer than five farmers.
According to report, 20 farmers in four farm settlements in the same local government area were also killed by suspected bandits few days ago.
This had sparked outrage from residents of the state as they stormed the Governor’s Office at Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital, displaying bodies of the casualties.
Another set of protesters were also reported to have barricaded Akure/Owo Road at Ogbese, rendering commuters and motorists stranded.
