This would not go down well with residents of Angwan Rukuba, as they trooped out in protest against the arrest of the youths who were allegedly profiled as bandits by the security operatives.
The residents who were expected to receive and bury the bodies of those murdered in the Palm Sunday attack today refused to proceed with the burial of the bodies as they insisted on the release of the arrested youths.
Video shared on X showed the placard and tree branches-wielding residents stormed the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) to stop the funeral service of the deceased victims pending the release of the youths arrested by the security operatives.
“How will they still come and kill us and capture our boys and say that they are bandits.? For what reason?
“This wicked is in high level. Let them bring those boys. If not, this burial will not take place.” One of the residents said while addressing newsmen.
