The Ikate-Elegushi area of Lagos State was on Tuesday ravaged by heavy flood which stretched across several building including the global headquarters of the House of the Rock church owned by renowned Nigerian clergyman, Paul Adefarasin.
As captured in a video shared on Instagram, the church located around Kusenla axis of Ikate was heavily flooded as water stretched across the length of the church’s fence.
This had sparked mixed reactions from netizens with some attributing the flooding poor drainage system and climate change.
Some netizens however trolled the church owing its name which was in reverence to a bible parable which stated that a house built on a rock will be unshaken in times of turbulence.
