A Lagos transport union worker, popular known as Agbero, has sent netizens tongues and fingers wrangling on social media as he graduated from Yaba College of Technology (Yaba Tech).
The middle-aged man whose real name is yet to be disclosed had in a viral video claimed to have graduated with Fist Class from the Mass Communication department.
Speaking in a now viral video on X, the Agbero, who wore the polytechnic’s green graduation gown with cap, expressed his gratitude to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos State Chapter’s Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle, popularly known as Sego, for his support.
He also thanked state government and his colleagues who he advised to also apply wisdom in what they do.
Addressing the public in a mix of English and Yoruba language, the fresh graduate held that not all transport workers are street thugs as largely perceived.
“First of all I need to thank NURTW for your support. I need to thank the Lagos State Government and Alhaji Mustapha Sego for your supports.
“It not all national (road workers) that you see on the road that are hoodlums.
“We bless God. I completed my Mass Communication programme today with First Class.
“To my other Agberos, apply sense in all you do. You know I can’t lie to you.” He said.
Meanwhile, his accomplishment had sparked mixed reactions from netizens.
While some congratulated him, others expressed their disbelief with his claim of graduating with First Class.
