A self-acclaimed Nigerian clergyman, Rev. Gabriel Egoh, has declared his interest to contest in the 2027 Presidential election.
Egoh made the declaration in a video shared on X on Thursday.
The clergyman had in the video solicited for Nigerians support as he promised to make a difference with the welfare of the common man as his priority.
He however did not disclose the party under which he will be contesting for the election.
“Fellow Nigerians, I want to bear my mind to you. I want to run for 2027 Presidency. I want to be the President of this great nation. I believe in my heart that I will make a difference. My first focal point is on the populace, the common man.
“I want to make sure that the common Nigerian lives a convenient life. I want to make sure that the common Nigerian man is able to feed three times a day; able to pay the children’s school fees; able to travel freely and most conveniently at affordable prices.
“I want a change where the focal point is on the people of Nigeria, not just on any other thing. Of course, other things will come in quantum.” He said in the video.
His declaration of interest had however sparked mixed reactions from netizens who trolled him.
