A disturbing video at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, showing nurses using phone flashlight to work as a result of the unresolved power outage has generated series of condemnations from netizens.
As captured in a now viral video on X, some nurses could been seen working through some patient files with the aid in of her phone flashlight in the dark waiting lounge of the hospital.
This is coming under the heels of Monday’s protest by patients who lamented over the lack of water and electricity in the hospital for past the 17 days.
Reacting on the recent development, netizens expressed their disappointment over the prolonged blackout experienced at the hospital.
“This is beyond disappointing; it’s a disgrace. Nurses saving lives shouldn’t be forced to use phone flashlights in a major hospital due to power outages. If we can’t provide basic necessities for our healthcare workers, what hope is there for quality care?” @Kate George
