Nigerian singer, Afeez Adesina, popularly known as Destiny Boy, has reportedly died at the age of 22.
The news of the fast-rising music artiste’s demise was announced in a post shared on X on Sunday.
According to the post, Adesina who rose to fame at a very tender age passed away at an herbalist house in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
Video attached to the post showed the body of the artist lying motionless in a car with blanket draped over him and a pair of cotton wool stuffed in his nostrils.
While the actual cause of his sudden death is yet to be confirmed, the sad news had sparked mixed reactions from netizens.
Some claimed he had died of money rituals as they shared old post of him expressing his desperation to be wealthy.
Another shared post of him showed the late singer with a man claimed to be his herbalist.
As seen in the picture, Destiny Boy’s body was dotted in whitish substance with a white robe strapped across his shoulder.
Meanwhile, there were speculations linking the death of the singer to drug abuse as netizens unearth an old video of a man raising alarm over the Destiny Boy’s drug usage.
Other netizens however expressed their shock over the new of his death as they mourned the late singer.
