The House of Representatives has urged the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command to suspend the arrest of motorist over violation of tinted glass and covered number plates regulations.
The lawmakers made the call during plenary on Tuesday as they urged the Command to stop the harassment of motorists; return vehicles that have been seized solely for having tinted windows; and issue a public notice allowing for a grace period of no less than 90 days for compliance.
As seen in a post on X, the motion for the 90 days suspension was moved by a Kwara lawmaker with the House adopting the prayers of the motion.
