Residents Cry Out as Osun River Overflows, Submerges Buildings

Residents of Osun state have cried out over the heavy downpour which caused the Osun River to overflow and submerge several buildings.

Following the heavy rainfall on Tuesday, the Osun River reportedly broke its bank as flood ravaged nearby communities particularly.

Videos of the incident recorded in Osogbo and shared on Facebook showed the flood submerging roads and buildings.

One of the clips captured a heavily flooded hotel located beside the Osun River path.
