Nollywood actress, Kemi Afolabi, has lamented the state of infrastructure in the country asking politicians what they intend to tell Nigerians while asking for votes in 2023.
Afolabi, who returned to Nigeria, said though she should be happy to be back home, she is however sad to find that the unchanging story of Nigeria confronted from the airport when she landed through her trip out of the airport towards home. Specifically, she told Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State to fix many of the roads in the Ofada-Move area of the state complaining the state of the roads is too terrible.
“Back to my biggest fear…my country NIGERIA.
Nothing has changed! Same Nonni.
“Our Airport, arrival is damn too hot. The way I quickly removed my top and tied it on my waist to rock my camisole with pride ehn! them no they tell person, body go tell you,” she wrote
“From the Lagos Murtala Mohammed International Airport through Oshodi to Mowe via the Lagos/ Ibadan Express way na traffic full everywhere! In the end, no clue for the cause.
“Wait, what are these politician using to campaign in the forth coming elections naa because me I am not understanding o,” the actress asked
She challenged the government of the day about the rate of kidnapping in the country asking that why is the government finding it difficult to track down kidnappers.
“It must be extremely hard a task for the right authorities to track down kidnappers! This is no longer funny at the rate kidnapping is on the rise on a daily in Nigeria.

“What will it cost the government to start ransacking day and night with the use of helicopters, ground troops and all? She asked
She lamented the deplorable condition of the road that leads to her house in Ofada-Owode really which she said calls for attention.
She added that the road is bad to the extent that SUV jeep was unable to move freely.
“The Ofada-Owode road that leads to my home is in a sorry state that even SUV car will suffer a hiccup. God!
“Ogun state governor, when are you guys fixing the roads edakun (please) this one concerns una o.
“Your excellency sir Dapo Abiodun we need your help urgently. The Ofada, Obafemi – Owode in Mowe -Ofada in Ogun state amongst others have gotten really worse. HELP US SIR, May God strengthen you to do it.”
She added that she was supposed to be happy for coming back to the country safely but the situation in the country is really disheartening
“Why am I feeling this way though, I am supposed to be happy to be back home after a long time but I am just so sad mahnnnn.”
The 43-year-old actress had in March this year disclosed that she was diagnosed with lupus.
“I have lupus. It’s not curable. You just have to take medications for the rest of your life. I’ve spent over N1 million on treatment yet I did not get the desired result,”she had said
“Make sure you are with your loved ones. At least, you still have up to five years,” she quoted her Doctor as saying
She added that she had prepared her will and booked a funeral ground for herself.
“I wrote my will and booked a space at Ebony vault in 2021 but God showed me how faithful he is despite my unfaithfulness. Who am I that God is so mindful of my existence? Me, ordinary sand? That was tossed around from a private hospital to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, to Army barracks hospital WAEC and finally LUTH where I spent over three months!”
On June 30, she took to her Instagram page to announce the commencement of her treatment at The John Hopkins Hospital, Maryland, United States.
“I commenced my lupus treatment journey today 06/30/2022 with @hopkinsmedicine Alihamdulilah.
“Some beautiful souls made this happen, God bless you all. Wish me luck. #warrior,” the actress wrote.
