Members of Rivers State Muslim Community have on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the suspended governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara.
The community, under the aegis of Rivers State Council for Islamic Affairs, paid Sallah homage to Fubara at his residence.
The was disclosed by the suspended governor in a post on his X handle.
The community, according to Fubara, rendered special prayer session for his family.
He reassured the community on his administration objective of actualizing greater future.

Fubara pledged to uphold a society where no one or any religion will be oppressed as we stand for what is right and just.
“Today, I received the Muslim community in Rivers State under the aegis of Rivers State Council for Islamic Affairs who came on a Sallah visit. They used the opportunity to pray for me and my family.
“It was also a good time to reassure them of our hope in God and our determination to actualize a greater future for our dear State.
“As they declared unwavering support for our government, we promise to continue working to uphold a society where no one or any religion will be oppressed as we stand for what is right and just.” The post read.
NPO Reported that Fubara was last month suspended for six months alongside his cabinet following President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of state of emergency over the unresolved political unrest in the state.
He was replaced by Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas who was appointed by the President as the Sole Administrator whose tenure will run through the course of Fubara’s suspension.
