Two goals from Egyptian talisman, Mohammed Salah, has ended Bournemouth unbeaten run as Liverpool secured 2-0 away victory.
The Kopites had travelled to the Vitality stadium for the English Premier League match day 24 against Bournemouth.
Recording three wins and a draw in their last four games, the Andoni Iraola-led Bournemouth hoped to continue their high-flying performance against Arne Slot’s Liverpool side.
Liverpool, however, proved a difficult nut to crack for the Cherries as Mohammed Salah put the visitors in the lead from the penalty spot after 30 minutes into the game.
Milos Kerkez came close to putting the host back on levels term, but his goal was ruled offside.
Brilliant performance by on-loan Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, denied Liverpool chances to double their lead before halftime.
Both team returned for the second half which was an evenly matched contest as both sides shared 50 percent ball possession each almost all through the game.
However, Liverpool managed to double their lead as Salah latched on a counter attack in the 75th minute to seal the win for the Premier League table toppers.
Liverpool maintain the top of the table with 56 points across 23 games with one outstanding match while Bournemouth sits 7th on the league table with 40 points.
