Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has joined other prominent well-wishers in celebrating former deputy governor, Femi Pedro, on his 70th birthday.
Sanwo-Olu, in congratulatory message posted on his X handle on Tuesday, lauded the ex-Lagos deputy governor for using his banking experience to improve the state’s Internally Generated Revenue.
He recounted how Pedro, who deputized President Bola Tinubu during his tenure as Lagos governor, re-engineered the Board of Inland Revenue and increased Lagos State’s internally generated revenue from a rate of N300 million per month to N7 billion within 18 months.
Sanwo-Olu wished the septuagenarian sound health and more strength to render more service to humanity.
“On behalf of my wife, family, the good people and government of Lagos State, as well as leaders and members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC) and the All Progressive Congress (APC), I join family, friends, and political associates to congratulate my dear older brother and former Deputy of Lagos State, Otunba Femi Pedro, on his 70th birthday.
