Prior to his statement, recall that NPO Reports reported that the discrepancies observed on the website of the State’s PPA had led to an uproar in the state as many accused the state government of recklessness in its fiscal handling of the state affairs.
He however thanked the critics of the document and stated that the State will continue to publish its spending and keep it open for public scrutiny.
According to him, the website will continue to be updated and he stated that the state has no problem with the originator of the letter.

“We appreciate the fact that people can tell us we need to do well in the State so we don’t have a problem and I want to thank you.
“Indeed, it is a government that is responsible that doesn’t shy away from its citizens but it’s only when a citizen is malicious and begins to misrepresent the truth, that is when there is a problem.
“And I’m sure that the officers in Lagos State, they’ve all come out to show that indeed, you can make mistakes on some line of items.”
“So, for us, I want to say that I am leading a team of committed civil servants, public servants, self-motivated public servants that want to stand and say they can indeed be recognized by anyone worldwide.” He assured.
