Presidential Candidates in the 2023 general elections have expressed shock over the death of singer, Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
They are sympathizing with David Adeleke and his finance, Chioma and the entire Adeleke family over the sudden tragedy.
Ifeanyi reportedly drowned in a swimming pool while his parents were not around.
Since the news of his death, some of the celebrities especially those in the entertainment industry have identified and sympathised with the artiste.
Earlier, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Osun State Chapter announced the suspension of it’s weekly activities to mourn the death of Ifeanyi.
Announcing the suspension of party activities, the Osun PDP caretaker chairman, Adekunle Akindele, in a condolence message to the Adeleke family on Tuesday, described the death of Ifeanyi, son as a very sad occurrence.
“We mourn the sorrowful exit of our son, Ifeanyi. We pray for the repose of his soul. It is a sad day, but we remain steadfast in our faith in the Lord of the Universe.
“Our condolence goes to Davido, our youth ambassador. We commiserate with our father figure, Dr Deji Adeleke and the entire Adeleke family. We pray the good Lord grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement concluded.
Reacting, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP),Atiku Abubakar expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
He wrote: “My thoughts and prayers are with Davido and Chioma and the Adeleke family at this time. I pray for God to strengthen and comfort them”.

In his own, the presidential candidate of rulling All Progressives Congress(APC),Bola Ahmed Tinubu described the death of the 3-year old boy as tragic.
He prayed to God to give the family the fortitude and strength to bear the painful tragedy
“Oluremi and I send our heartfelt and deepest condolences to David, Chioma, and the entire Adeleke family over the tragic loss of their son, Ifeanyi,”he tweeted
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. May the Lord grant them the fortitude and strength to deal with this painful tragedy.”
Commiserating with the family of Davido,the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi said he can not begin to imagine the pains the family is currently going through over the death of their son
“I send my sincere condolences to Davido and Chioma, over the death of their son Ifeanyi. I cannot begin to imagine the pains they are going through at the moment. May God grant them healing, strength and comfort in this trying time.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the family.-PO
The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP),Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso wrote,”My heart and prayers go to David Adeleke @davido and Chioma, in this very trying time.
“May God guide and keep you through this tragic period.”
Earlier,the State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin,has confirmed the arrest of eight domestic workers of Davido.
Hundeyin said, “Truly, Ifeanyi is dead.His (Davido’s) domestic workers have been brought in for questioning and anybody found not culpable will be allowed to go immediately.
“About eight of them were brought in to narrate their version of what happened to assist us in getting what really happened.
“At the end of their narrations, whoever that is found not guilty of negligence or not culpable in anyway will be allowed to go.
“Anybody found culpable will stay back to assist us in further investigation. The domestic workers are about eight that were brought in.” Uh
