Nigerian music artist, Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has on Saturday charged the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to address the hardship in the in the country before his performance at the official defection of Akwa-Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno.
NPO Reported that Eno had on the 6th of June announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC.
The governor had previously disclosed his plan to defect, citing the leadership crisis within the opposition party as reason for his defection.
He was officially received by the ruling party in the presence of a mammoth crowd at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium, Uyo, where Spyro was invited as guest artist to perform.
While expressing his gratitude for the privilege to perform at the event, the “Who is your guy?” Crooner commended Umo Eno for his works in the state.
He however called on other leaders to follow his footstep and make things better for Nigeria, stressing that the country is hard.
“It’s such an honour to be here today. I’ve heard about the good things you’ve been doing in the state. And we are so proud.
“It’s such an opportunity to be here today and that’s my guy. I’m hoping that other leaders here that take leadership and follow his footsteps and do things better for us because things no easy for the country o. Make dem do better for us.” He said.
Spyro stated in this in the presence of APC leadership led by President Bola Tinubu who was represented at the event by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
