Hamdiyyah Sharif, the critic of Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has been declared missing.
This was disclosed in a Facebook post shared on Wednesday by the embattled critic’s lawyer, Abba Hikima.
According to the lawyer, Sharif has not been seen since she left home on Tuesday morning to buy food stuffs.
Hikima further disclosed that the case has been reported to the police as she urged those faulting Sharif’s decision to stay in Sokoto amid threat to her life to exercise patience.
“Hamdiyya has been missing since 10:00 AM yesterday. She left home to buy food stuff in Sokoto and has not been seen since.
“The Sokoto State Police has already been informed.
“Those saying it was a mistake Hamdiyya stayed in Sokoto, or she was not supposed to go out for chef and others, please be patient and let us see her first then we open this page.
“For the sake of God! When there is prayer, there is no talking.
“Complaining is easy for him. It’s work that’s hard. Please be patient and help us find it now.” The lawyer wrote.
