A second colloquium in honour of the Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has been scheduled to hold on Saturday.
The colloquium tagged Government Unusual: Innovative Economic Solutions to Unlock Mass Prosperity is to be moderated by television business show anchor Boason Omofaye.
Listed as Speakers at this virtual colloquium are former Commissioner in Lagos and Chairman, Citibank, Mr. Yemi Cardoso; Chairman of Lotus Capital, Hajia Hajara Adeola; Country Director of DAI Dr. Joe Abah, Statistician General of the Federation, Dr. Yemi Kale and notable Finance Expert, Bismarck Rewane.
The first colloquium in celebration of Aregbesola who clocked 63 years had held online on Monday, the Minister’s birthday.
The virtual birthday colloquium which was put together by a Lagos based media strategy company Proumou Media Consulting, featured Dr. Rabiat Akande of the Harvard University; Mr. Kurtis Adigba of the International Association of Political Consultants and a lecturer at the Coventry University UK, Dr. Alim Abubakre.
Speakers at the conference, which was themed Leadership in Emergencies: Planning as Foundation for National Survival Eulogised Aregbesola for what they described as his robust vision in delivering good governance.
They cited some of the former Governor’s legacy projects such as tablet of knowledge and major roads in the state as instances that showed him as a visionary leader.

They examined the tablet of knowledge as one unique device which has now proved more useful at a time of global health crisis.
In the colloquium slated to hold on Saturday, speakers are expected to dwell on some of the policies which made Aregbesola’s administration appear “unusual” in Osun, could be tapped and developed to solve many of the economic problems facing Nigeria.
The speakers are believed to be men and woman who know their onions in the economic indices of Nigeria.
Adeola’s Lotus Capital, the NPO Reports, gathered midwived the Sukuk loans which the Aregbesola administration obtained and utilitized in the construction of the mega schools which now dot Osun.
The massive regeneration works in the state schools are believed to be responsible for the drastic change in the results of public examinations where students from the schools now excel.
A student from one of the schools emerged best science student in Nigeria earlier in the year.
Another product of the reform had come third in the 2019 Joint Administration and Matriculation Examinations.
The Federal Government of Nigeria had gone ahead in 2016 to also obtain a N100bn sukuk to fund roads projects across Nigeria
Aregbesola’s sukuk had caused furore about 2012 when he was accused of attempting to Islamise the state.
