The Super Eagles have returned to Nigeria after enduring hours of frustrations in Libya.
As disclosed in a post on X, the Nigerian National team finally landed in Kano where they now await flight to Abuja.
The team had, on Saturday, departed the shores of the country for Libya ahead of tomorrow’s African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
NPO earlier reported the inhuman treatment melted on the Super Eagles following the diversion of their plane by Libyan authorities to a deserted airport.
The team’s captain, William Troost-Ekong, narrated the ordeal of the players and officials, which had since generated public reactions and condemnations.
As a result of the unjust treatment, the Super Eagles have decided to boycott the match as they return to Nigeria.
However, the Libyan Football Federation, in the reaction, apologized for the inconveniences experienced by the Super Eagles.
