Amidst worrying state of the country’s economy, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero, has tasked the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, to let her husband know that the citizens are in suffering.
The Emir said issues of insecurity and hunger in the country is getting worse by the day.
The emir made the plea when Tinubu’s wife visited him in Kano on Monday.
“Although we have several means of communicating to the government on our needs and requests, your way and means is the surest way to tell the President the actual happenings in the country,” Bayero, who spoke through an interpreter, told the First Lady.
Speaking on insecurity, the prominent traditional ruler said it has become very alarming that Nigerians are no longer safe anywhere.
He said the First Lady possess all it requires to communicate with her husband to allow him see the true situation of things.
“The issue of insecurity is another serious problem we are facing. I know your government inherited it, but something more serious should be done to take care of the threats,” Bayero stated.
