Nigerian socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has faulted the arrest of business man and fellow socialite, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-money.
Cubana claimed that his arrest was a calculated attempt to make the billionaire succumb and support the ambition of some politicians ahead of the 2027 General Election.
NPO Reported that operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had on Monday night stormed E-Money’s residence in Omole area of Lagos State where he was arrested before been transferred to the Commission’s headquarters for questioning.
He was reportedly arrested over alleged currency abuse which was traced to a viral clip of him spraying Nigerian singer, Flavour, at an event with what appeared to be foreign currency.
Reacting in a post on his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest claimed to have known that the anti-graft agency will come for E-Money.
He alleged that the businessman’s arrest was political motivated and part of the plot by some unidentified politician to forcefully gain his support.
While maintaining that Igbos will not be intimidated as they will vote for who they desire, Cubana Chief Priest encouraged E-Money as he claimed to have been under similar situation.
“This is a guy who just did everything to push up Southeast with his just concluded
Home Coming Concert this Easter.
“I knew they will come for him because
they just saw his strength. They are doing this so they can break him so as to make him succumb in supporting
Them under duress.
The oppression on
Us Igbos will never stop but let me tell all of you, we will never stop. We don’t die, we multiply. More billionaires are coming up. Come 2027 we will support & vote for who we want to.
“We won’t be broken, we will even be stronger. We will reciprocate how we were treated with our energy, brotherhood, support, votes & affluence.
“@iam_emoneyl It’s
Nothing brother. I have been there. It will
Make you stronger. It’s just like our Rolls Royce. Na location for the rich & famous. Na status symbol.” Cubana Chief Priest wrote.
