An ally of the former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, on Tuesday said those who bought the presidential nomination forms would not cough out N100m if their parents are in need of medical attention.
Former Special Assistant to Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, who said this on Tuesday was reacting to news of the purchase of presidential nomination forms for the former president.
Omokri, who has serially berated those behind the purchase of the All Progressive congress forms, had earlier been quoted by the NPO Reports over his condemnation of the gesture.
He said it cannot happen for Jonathan to accede to contesting on the platform of the APC.
In a video he circulated online, Omokri described the APC as an “evil and demonic” party.
“If the fathers and mothers of some of these jokers that bought the APC Presidential nomination form are sick and need ₦100 million for emergency healthcare, they will never cough out the money,” he further tweeted on Tuesday
Saying that the ticket is not available, Omokri added, “Yet, they are coughing it out for a ticket they will never get!”
Talks about Jonathan’s decision to return as president have dominated the political scene for months.
Two weeks ago, some people stormed his private office in Abuja and demanded that he joins the party to contest the presidential election.
The talks became even more rife on Monday after it was discovered that Jonathan had visited the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdulahi Adamu.
