Suspected political thugs and alleged loyalists of Julius Abure have on Saturday assaulted Nigerian female activist, Precious Oruche, popularly known as “Mama Pee,” for challenging the Labour Party’s factional National Chairman.
The incident occurred at the Benin airport shortly after Mama Pee confronted Abure at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja accusing him of destroying the Labour Party and frustrating Nigerians.
Mama Pee had in a live video recorded and shared on X, challenged Abure who was about to board a Max Air flight at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
In a confrontational exchange, the activist accused the factional leader of the Labour of frustrating Nigerians.
“In case nobody has told you, you’re the one frustrating Nigerians.
“Are you not Julius Abure? So what are you now doing with the Labour Party?” She had asked with Abure replying with “And so what?”
“Police dey find you, you dey enter aeroplane. Ogun go kill you. Who you dey say are you mad?” Mama Pee fired back at Abure’s entourage who challenged her.
The confrontation would escalate on the duo’s arrival at the Benin airport as the alleged Abure loyalists pounced on her.
She was allegedly dragged towards the exit door before the airport security and immigration officers’ intervention.
Mama Pee, in a video recorded after the assault claimed one of the thugs hit her in the eye and another threatened to shoot her.
The video also showed the attackers daring her to come out of the airport as security operatives shielded the activist.
“Look at them oh!!!, see them oh!!! they wants to beat me after Julius Abure and told him that you are the one destroying the lives of Nigerians and then he brings thugs. He brought thugs to harass me. Look at them, can you see them,” she said.
“I saw Julius Abure of Labour Party inside the Max Air, and I told him that you are the one destroying the lives of Nigerians. You sold Labour Party, and then he called his thugs to wait for me at the airport in Benin,” Mama Pee narrated.
