President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday approved the appointment of a new board and management team for the National Hajj Commission (NAHCOM).
The appointments however are subject to confirmation by the Senate.
Among those named on Wednesday was Prof Mahfouz Adedimeji, a former Vice Chancellor of Ahma Pategi University and a don at the University of Ilorin.
Apart from Jalal Arabi who has been in office as the Chairman, the President named the followings:
1. Aliu Abdulrazaq — Commissioner, Policy, Personnel, & Finance
2. Prince Anofi Elegushi — Commissioner, Operations
3. Professor Abubakar A. Yagawal — Commissioner, Planning & Research

A statement by Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the President on Media quoted the President as mandating the appointees to dedicate themselves to the task of ensuring that operations of the National Hajj Commission are more efficient, transparent, and responsive to the needs of Nigerians.
