Tinubu Approves Lifetime Salary for Retired Senior Officers

He described the initiative as a landmark step in motivating personnel and strengthening institutional capacity across all agencies under the ministry.

In a statement signed by the Federal Fire Service spokesperson, DCF P.O. Abraham, the minister expressed his gratitude to Tinubu for his support.

“The minister expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu for his unwavering support, affirming that all agencies under the Ministry of Interior are reaping the benefits of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement read.

Tunji-Ojo further revealed that the ministry had cleared the long-standing backlog of promotions, with over 50,000 officers promoted in the past two years.

The minister also disclosed that a world-class Fire Academy is under construction to rival top institutions like the Arizona Fire Academy.

He harped on the need to pay attention to mental health in the workplace and called on the Federal Fire Service to engage private sector partnerships to modernize firefighting operations across the country.
