President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Bayelsa State ahead of the commissioning of projects done by the state governor, Douye Diri.
Tinubu had earlier today departed Lagos for Bayelsa.
While he noticeably absent all through the project commissioning exercise in Lagos with no reason stated for his absence, the President stepped out of the Presidential jet in Yenagoa of Friday.
Ahead of his arrival, the members All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors’ Forum led by Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, had joined Diri at the Bayelsa capital city.
All cladded in the traditional attire of the state, the governors and other APC leaders filed at the airport to receive the President who was also wearing the traditional attire.
Meanwhile, had in a post shared on his X handle yesterday announced that Tinubu will be commissioning four legacy projects.
The projects, as highlighted by the governor, include 60 Megawatts Gas Turbines Independent Power Plant at Elebele and 630 Metre Angiama-Oporoma Bridge, a project that has been on the drawing board for over 60 years.
The other two projects include dualised New Yenagoa City Road One Linking Airport/Tombia/Amassoma Road by Gbarantoru and 42km Sagbama-Ekeremor Road.
