President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has congratulated the South African president,
President Cyril Ramaphosa on the victory of his second term.
This was contained in a congratulatory message signed by the President’s Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale on Saturday.
Recall that NPO made reports that South Africa’s parliament had re-elected Ramaphosa as the country’s president following a landmark coalition deal between the governing African National Congress (ANC) and opposition parties.
“President Bola Tinubu extends his warm congratulations to His Excellency, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, on his re-election
“The President also congratulates the people of South Africa on the peaceful and successful conduct of the general election.”
Tinubu therefore took the medium to call for the strengthening of bilateral ties between Nigeria and South Africa.
“While wishing President Ramaphosa a successful term in office, President Tinubu calls for the strengthening of bilateral ties between Nigeria and South Africa as strategic partners in Africa for the overall advancement of the continent.”
