President Bola Tinubu has hosted Chadian President, Mahamat Idriss Deby, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Mahamat arrived at the Presidential Villa on Thursday afternoon with Tinubu and other senior officials receiving him.
After exchange of pleasantries, the two Presidents went it for a brief closed-door meeting.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, Tinubu disclosed their discussion which largely centred on the insecurity challenges facing the region.
He explained that Nigeria and Chad have reached fresh agreement in the collabortaion in fight against insecurity.
“It is a very great honour and privilege to welcome my brother to discuss two main important items.
“First is the insecurity challenge that we are facing. The MNJTF is responsible, put together, to face the challenge of terrorism in our region.
“The two countries resolved to combat terrorism and eliminate all act of terrorism on our people and ensure we maintain the sovereignty of our two nations.
“We have agreed on joint responsibility.” He said/
