Former Kogi state governor, Yahaya, Bello, has labelled President Bola Tinubu an angel sent by God to fix Nigeria.
Yahaya stated this during an endorsement rally in support of Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Ododo’s second term bid.
Addressing the All Progressive Congress (APC) at the rally held in Lokoja on Saturday, the ex-Kogi governor heaped praises on the President over his economic reforms which he described as courageous steps taken towards fixing Nigeria.
“We will not wait for God to send an angel with wings to fly into Nigeria to fix it. Should I tell you who the angel is? The angel is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“If you are waiting for that animation in the television to come to Nigeria and fix it, you will wait forever.
“Today, we have the President who is courageous, who is taking this country to the next level.
“There are decisions that are tough to be made of which several Heads of States and President were unable to take, political decisions, economic decisions, and several other tough decisions.
“Instead of Mr. President to be thinking to 2027 elections because he is a politician, he decided to take the bulls by the horn with various economic policies ranging from floating the Naira to taking decision on withdrawal of subsidy, opening the economy for each and everyone of us to thrive. Private investors, corporate individuals are thriving.
“Farmers, artisans, students, and several other achievements of Mr. President, they are all there in the media for you to know.
“If somebody is taking this decision, we urge him to continue.” He said.
Yahaya gave a note of warning to those attempting to challenge the President who, according to him, has a lion’s heart.
He called for Nigerians support of Tinubu, stressing that the country cannot be fixed within a short term.
“Let me tell you that if you don’t make a courageous decision in this country, you cannot go anywhere.
“Mr. President has a lion’s heart, and nobody should dare him because you will have us to contend with.
“Those of us and those of you who recognise that we are already in the new Nigeria, infrastructures are being fixed.
“No government can fix everything all at once because of the years of decay in the system. It will take a while for anybody to be able to fix it and Mr. President is fixing it.
“We will support him to fix it.” He added.
