President Bola Tinubu has met with Nigerian businessman, Femi Otedola, at Abu Dhabi ahead of the 2025 Sustainability Week (ADSW) Summit at the United Arab Emirates’ capital city.
The President, according to a post on X, had received the First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) Holding PLC Chairman on Sunday.
NPO reported that Tinubu was invited to the summit by the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Summit, which will take place in the emirate from January 12 to 18, is organized to bring together global leaders to accelerate sustainable development and advance socioeconomic progress.
Tagged ‘The Nexus of Next; Supercharging Sustainable Progress,’ the summit will enable policymakers, business, and civil society leaders to explore pathways to fast-track the transformation to a sustainable economy and evolve a new era of prosperity for all.
According to a statement issued on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will stress his administration’s reforms, including those related to energy sufficiency, transportation, public health, and economic development.
The Nigerian leader and his entourage will also meet with the emirate’s leadership to discuss issues of interest affecting the two nations.
Also accompanying the President for the summit aside Femi Otedola is the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other senior government officials.
