President Bola Tinubu has pledged to make agriculture attractive and profitable to youths and women through small-scale finance loans and other opportunities for prosperity.
The President made the pledge while speaking on Wednesday at the inauguration of 25 tractors and 53 operational vehicles to boost agriculture production and security in Nasarawa State.
NPO Reported that the President had arrived in Lagos for a one-day working visit for project commissioning.
In his address, Tinubu commended the state Governor, Abdullahi Sule for his foresight in priotiising agriculture, security and recognising the needs of his people.
He assured that the federal government would cooperate and collaborate with the state, to make it becomes the pride of all.
The President who acknowledged the state’s fertile land and vibrant youths population, urged them not to sacrifice agriculture for the abundant mineral resources in the state
He thanked the women, men, and youth group for their unwavering support for the Governor.
Earlier, Sule thanked the President for visiting the state to inaugurate the projects executed by his administration.
“We are here with the President to commission the vehicles allocated, mostly to our security agencies, including armoured vehicles that we have bought for them.
“We may not have the kind of security challenges others are facing, but we have to be prepared.
“That is why we are donating these three armoured vehicles and 50 Hilux as operational vehicles for security agencies,” he said.
