President Bola Tinubu has on Friday paid a courtesy visit to family of his late predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari, in Kaduna.
The President had earlier arrived in the state’s capital, Kaduna for the wedding ceremony of Nasirudeen Yari, son of former Zamfara state governor and incumbent Senator representing Zamfara West, Abdul’aziz Yari.
As part of his scheduled activities for the one-day visit, Tinubu arrived at the Kaduna residence of the late Buhari’s family where he met with his predecessor’s widow, Aisha Buhari.
The President was accompanied by a delegate led by the Kaduna state governor, Uba Sani.
Other members of the delegate include Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Senators, and other top government officials.
As captured in a video shared on X, the President and his entourage were received by Yusuf Buhari, son of the late former President.
In his address, Tinubu promised to uphold the legacies of the late former President.
Tinubu’s visitation is his second encounter the family since the burial of Buhari on the 15th of July.
Recall that the former President died on the 13th of July at London hospital at the age of 82.
His body was flown to Nigeria two days after with Tinubu receiving it before being taken to his residence in Daura, Katsina state, for a befitting state burial.
Following the burial ceremony, Tinubu hosted the family of his late predecessor at the Presidential Villa.
