President Bola Tinubu has written to the Senate, seeking confirmation of appointees for the South West, North Central and South South Development Commissions.
This is coming months after the establishment of the commissions was approved by the National Assembly.
Listed as appointees are 19 persons for the North Central Development Commission (NSCDC), with Cosmas Akiyir as Chairman and Cyril Yeltsin as Managing Director.
On the other hand the South West Development Commission (SWDC) has eighteen appointees with Senator Olubunmi Adetunbi and Dr. Charles Akinola listed as its Chairman and Managing Director respectively.
Similarly, the South South Development Commission (SSDC) has as appointed eighteen persons with Chibudom Nwuche as Chairman and Usoro Offiong Akpabio as Managing Director.
The nominees will however be screened by respective committees before confirmation.
