President Bola Tinubu is set depart Abuja for a 10-day annual leave.
This was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to Onanuga, the President will be leaving the shores of the country for Europe where he will be spending the leave period between France and the United Kingdom.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today, September 4, to commence a working vacation in Europe, as part of his 2025 annual leave.
“The vacation will last 10 working days.
“President Tinubu will spend the period between France and the UK and then return to the country.” the statement read.
Tinubu’s frequent travel had however become subject of controversies with opposition figures faulting the trips.
The leave which the President is set to embark on is coming few days after his arrival from Brazil.
NPO Reported that Tinubu had on the 15th of August departed for a 12-day to Japan and Brazil.
While attending the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Japan, the President proceeded to Brasilia, Brazil, for a state visit from the 24th to 25th of August at the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz InĂ¡cio Lula da Silva.
