President Bola Tinubu is set to return to Nigeria as his 10-day annual leave ends.
NPO Reported that the President had on the 4th of September departed Abuja for France where he spent his annual holiday.
In the course of the vacation, Tinubu was hosted by France President, Emmanuel Macron, for a private luncheon at the Elysee Palace.
The President is however billed to return to Nigeria and resume his official duties.
As announced in a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the Tinubu will arrive today as he has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule.
Meanwhile, Onanuga disclosed that the President had at his meeting with Macron reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen the partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability.
The statement read in part; President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties.
The President departed for France on September 4, 2025, to spend part of his annual holiday and was initially scheduled to divide the period between France and the United Kingdom.
Last week in Paris, President Tinubu held a private luncheon with his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron, at the Élysée Palace. Both leaders reviewed key areas of cooperation between Nigeria and France and agreed to deepen the partnership for mutual prosperity and global stability.
